Pick your scan typeUse the profile dropdown (Trading cards, DVD cases, or Comics/books). This tunes detection for size and layout — cards are usually a 2×4 grid; DVDs are often two cases side-by-side.
Scan front and back the same wayLay items on the scanner bed in the same order and rotation for both sides. Swift-Crop pairs item #1 on the front with item #1 on the back, reading left-to-right, top-to-bottom (row 1, then row 2).
Drop your imagesDrag a front scan into the Front zone and a back scan into the Back zone — or drop both files onto the pair area at once. Then click Add to queue. Detection runs automatically.
Check the boxes on the previewEach numbered outline is one item. Click a box (or a thumbnail) to select it. If a corner is off, drag that handle. Hold Ctrl and drag any corner to scale the whole box from its center. Use Add box / Delete box if something was missed or duplicated. Copy front boxes to back is handy when the backs match the front layout exactly.
Preview a cutSelect a card and click View cut (or double-click a thumbnail) to see the warped front and back side by side. Use arrow keys to browse; Esc closes. Click an image to zoom.
Name and exportSet Export name (for example Dodgers-Stack1). Files become Dodgers-Stack1_01_front.png and _01_back.png, and so on. Export ZIP downloads the current scan; Export all can pack every ready job into one archive (Single ZIP on) or separate ZIPs (off).
Tips for clean results
Keep lighting even and avoid heavy shadows on the scan bed.
Leave a little gap between cards so edges don’t blur together.
If front and back counts don’t match, fix boxes until the status shows ready — export stays locked until they match.
Re-detect after you’ve fixed a bad scan, or nudge boxes by hand when only one or two are off.
Large scanner beds / missing items?
If you have a larger printer/scanner bed and detection is skipping items or framing them wrong,
email us with your scanner/printer model number and a short description of the issue.
We’ll work on adding support for that layout.
